Have you talked to your teacher and told her about your results? I would think that a Smithie would clearly recognize another Seven Sister school as being an excellent institution. Sure, she might have been encouraging you to go to Smith since she is an alum, but she also knows that Bryn Mawr is also a great place to study.
Have you looked at the Bryn Mawr website? Read the student blogs? Looked at the gorgeous photos of the college? They have an excellent academic program there, beautiful dorms, and access to the other colleges and Philly. Check it out.

The first thing you need to do is talk to your parents and see if Bryn Mawr is affordable. If so, then I’d pursue it. If ti isn’t affordable then likely your other schools won’t be affordable either. If Bryn Mawr isn’t affordable then your state u will be the best answer. I expect that you can get where you want to go in life from your state u.
As many on CC learn, it is a mistake to spend 4 years of HS trying to craft that perfect college resume trying to get into that perfect college. HS students are best off being themselves, working hard and doing things they love in HS. and casting a wide net in terms of the college search.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful responses. After having done more research, I’ve realize it was a big mistake of me to judge a school based on what I heard. I’m now over the schools that I got waitlisted and look forward to the ones that accepted me. Bryn Mawr is truly an amazing school and I’m proud that I got in. I’m trying to figure out how I can afford it so that I can go there next fall! I wasn’t being thoughtful the day I wrote this response and was too depressed to realize that what I wrote might have hurt or offense the people reading this thread. I’m sorry if I offense or angered any of you in any ways. In the future, I will not jump to conclusions and make generalizations for something I don’t know.
