Sure. I'm no IVY substance. But hello, it's BU that rejected me.

above 700's in 4 out of 5, academic GPA of 4.2, most rigorous class selection(9 AP's), exceptional, if not glowing, teacher recs, very good EC's, really good essays. I'm in no mood to elaborate. Don't ask me to post my detailed EC's or pm you my essays. Thanks.

If I can't get into BU, WHERE CAN I GET IN????

3 rejections so far.

What other schools did you apply to?

i would then do a self evalution you definition of "very good"

gl man

You're not alone. BU didnt accept me... but Fairfield, Fordham, UConn and NYU have. It's pretty weird. I had BU as a safety.

It's certainly not just you.

hide, believe it or not you have alot of company! in my highly competitive school there are a number of people who have no solid place to go right now, a few waitlists a few surprising rejections but believe me you will go somewhere. where else have you applied and been accepted? would you consider going and then transfering as many do every year? your stats sounded awesome! Bu rejecting you? A fellow classmate of mine got rejected today from BU BUT got into BC, oberlin, carnegie mellon,NYU Stern! BU is getting too big for its britches! What were your SAT scores? Unreal!!

Uh...my Harvard interviewer said that out of 50 applicants he's interviewed these years, my EC's prob ranked the 4th or 5th.

How come I haven't heard anything from NYU??

BU probably rejected you because the admissions officers thought you had picked the school as an extreme safety. Tough luck.

My SAT scores were not very good...1440/2100. I have a terrible writing score: /

maybe they realized it was ur safety and thought u wouldn't go there. colleges want as high an admittance rate of ppl they accepted as possible.

BU was NOT my extreme safety or even safety. I thought it was my safe-match. I wanted to go there. I sent them update letters twice on important update...

Oh...1440 out of 2100? Then no wonder you were rejected. BU was a bit of a reach.

Are you really 17, heavenwood? I wish SAT's could be out of 2100!

1440/2400 you mean?

erm... it's out of 2400...

no he meatn 1440/1600 and 2100/2400

oh I see...then yeah, BU probably thought you were using them as a safety.

I got a little confused. Sorry. I thought he said 1440/2400.

Oh yeah. It was DEFINITELY a safety then.

i doubt BU rejected you because you thought you were using them as a safety.

Um... your response is making no sense to me at all.

1440/2100 is a much better score than 1440/2400. Mathematically, I cant see how you could change your mind and ultimately say that Boston University would qualify as a definite saftey with the latter, when the former was something you felt made it a 'reach'.

Hm... alright then.

hideANDseek, G'luck with everything.
