Rejected at Davis, Accepted at Berkeley!

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I laughed my @ss off when I saw this. I have no idea the logic behind this. I dont care obviously because Berk has been my #1 choice since I was 12. It just goes to show how weird the acceptance process is.

~3.6 GPA
IGETC Certified
Biochem major
Army Vet, 1 tour in Iraq

Congrats!

I’m sure Davis will regret it someday.

I was rejected as UCSB, and I got into CAL lol. I was also rejected to UCLA, but that is a good school, but when I saw I was rejected from UCSB and yet CAL accepted me I had the same reaction as you! lol. random!

i know i guy in high school who was rejected from davis but accepted to university of chicago and other top schools! maybe davis, sb, and other lower ranked UCs reject people who are too good for their schools

^nah UCs dont do the “over-qualified thing” u have to keep in min that each UC has different ppl looking at all these apps, and different ppl feel differently towards things that they see on application, so maybe the person who was reading over ur app at UCD didnt think you would be a fit to the school and the person reviewing ur app at UCB did think you would be a fit for the school.

I was rejected by Irvine yet accepted by both UCLA (Elec. Eng) and UCB (EECS) as an out of state. Totally unexpected!!

I was accepted to UCLA, UCSD, but rejected by UCI and UCSB. Oh, did I mention I live in Irvine too? Hahaha

I was rejected to UCLA, but accepted to Berkeley for the spring. Looks like I’m going to UCSD though.

haahaa i had the same thing bro… rejected from UCD, UCSB and UCLA and Accepted to Cal!!! woot woot!
