This Year applying, I did a number of things incorrect. The biggest mistake was that I applyed to only on school. That being said, What schools should I apply to next Year (I need FULL FA-What schools will this not matter to? (They do not have to be need-blind))
Also, I made mistakes with the EC's, and this year will have more opportunities in my local H.S. I am excellent and interviewing, and I recieved near-perfect recs-My teachers showed me. I will begin the essay writing now, because being rejected has given me a unique idea to write on essay about. (Will brainstorm on the others) Next Year, I will have my E.L.A teacher read them for me as well. I did not study much for the SSAT last year, and although next year's will be harder, I plan on getting a tutor. I will also try to talk with the schools' coaches for sports, as I heard that doing so can give you a better chance. I even asked my interviewer how I did before, and next year, that will not happen again. I have some hooks here and there and my average is quite high as well? Sorry for the amount of information, but i'm just so frustrated. So, What schools should I apply to given that I need full FA and that I am a repeat 9th Grader (or will be). How do I look as a propective? THANKS ! :)

Ur going to be a repeat9th grader??? I got rejected too… :I I dont think my parents though, will let me apply again next year

That sucks man, I know how you feel. Yeah, if I get in though. I do realize a few mistakes I made throughout this process that I will fix next Year. If I am not accpeted to one school next year, I will try again for 11th grade, though!

Exie, Chin up, you’re in good company here. I’ll PM you in a few days with some info for FA schools for nxt yr. When one door closes another will open.

Thanks man…It’s tough being rejected though.

I guess I’m going to spend a whole other Year here on CC “In good company” Teehee

Wow, ur holdin up good. Im in the “im going 2 do sooo well” stage

I got rejected too. x]

I was also rejected for exeter = (

@Exeterrr,
I got rejected too. All the other schools I applied to (so far) have at least waitlisted me. You’re not alone today.

i got rejected from lawrenceville…wahh

I’m rejected as well…
Still haven’t received any news from Andover. Probably another rejection. Rejection is tough

I got wait-listed. But then again my app was two months late xD

Wow I wish we all made it in today. I’m positive that we were all qualified. I know someone that was Accepted to Exeter and Middlesex. That person curses too often and steals very regularly, receiving unfair Recs from our “too nice” teachers and also having an average G.P.A $%!T happens…

Like the master list of acceptances, we can make the master list of rejections, as bad as that sounds. (Forget that) To the qualified and great people who did not make it to Exeter, etc… I hope you made it to your other schools (or will do so). I did not make it to Exeter and it was the only school I applyed to, but will apply next year and hope to see you then. Like every person in my family (almost) said to me today when they heard this news, THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON! I texted my dad in school because I was so nervous and when he passed on the news I felt like crying and even more so when he told me to call him to clear things up in the bathroom. I feel fine now, though. A few days before the rejection I had a dream that I was in Exeter but it felt like a “cold” place and I was so nervous because I could not find my class. That was a “red flag” to me, although this was not my perspective of Exeter, nor is it now. Furthermore, Good luck to all the waitlisted students, and to the ones rejected, that means you can spend one more year on CC-Yay!!! Not (lol) Good Luck !!! :)

Exeterrr, I’m so sorry that you did not get into Exeter! I have been wait-listed… But anyway, good luck with your application next year! :)

Thanks, I have begun to work on it now!

Exie, we will all be rooting for you nxt yr like we did for 2010hopeful this yr and swampedwithwork last yr. They came back to round 2 w/ determination. You will have an advantage to all the newbees nxt time because you’ve been there, done that and now know what pot holes to avoid.

Thanks so much muf! That means a lot!!! :)
