Rejected...But Confused.

So yesterday, I checked and was rejected from Wharton and AEM. Figured as much; they are extreme reaches for me.
Then I reread the Cornell letter.
It says:
"Within the next few days you will receive notification from the undergraduate college to which you’ve applied that you are being offered a transfer option."
Does this mean I get the option of a guaranteed transfer? If so, what does it do, exactly? Is it hard to get one from AEM? How many credits can you transfer, and are there requirements? Should I go to BC to save a lot of dough and maybe think about transferring? Would this transfer cover all demonstrated need? I'm so confused right now.
I asked my counselor, and he has no clue what this means (I was the only one applying to Cornell this year). Any help would be great.

Yes its a GT. Search for the GT thread to answer all your questions.

Your offer will have requirements.
They will require both a minimum GPA and [probably though not necessarily] certain grades in certain courses.
