Rejected but got Admit Day email????

<p>I got rejected by UCSD but got the Admit Day email "We’re thrilled that you’ve been admitted to UC San Diego, and we’re showcasing our beautiful campus on Admit Day." so I'm wondering if anyone else got this mistake. I don't really have a desire to go UCSD though but I just thought this was weird. Maybe because of the high number of applicants, they messed up their emails?</p>

<p>It is possible that they forgot to distinguish between accepted and rejected applicants. UCSD is known for its faulty way of handing technical stuff</p>

<p>Or, more likely…they switched the lists and got a TON of people’s hopes up. Good job UCSD…</p>

but i have a friend who got rejected and didn’t recieve the email

<p>**** them I actually thought I got in for like 30 seconds until I found out re checked my app status and it said rejection.</p>
