I applied as Human Biology for my major. And my second major was General Biology. These two are pretty impacted. But I believe my statistics are capable of attending despite my SAT scores of 1710.

However, it was recent until I realized that I decided to change majors to Undeclared because I am not not sure of what I'd like to be. Also, I couldn't change it in time after contacting them through e-mail.

Is there a way for me to appeal to the UCSD that I wanted to go Undeclared and see if they will reconsider me? Idk if it's possible, but I'm seeking guidance.

My stats are in a previous post mentioned several days earlier.

Thank you.

Oh. Well, I’ll be applying to UCSD, but Undeclared/Undecided overall. That’s what I truly want.

I just chose the wrong majors of Biology when I sent in my UC application; however, I just couldn’t change it in time by sending an e-mail to the UC Admissions Office.

No, if they wanted you they would have accepted you as undeclared even though you applied as a Bio major. There have been cases in the past where people applied as Bio majors but got accepted as undeclared so if you didn’t get accepted, it means you didn’t get into the university, not the major.

^^ I deleted my post because I couldn’t figure out how UCSD “colleges” related to the other UC “schools” (i.e engineering, arts and sciences, business, etc).

I agree with lee3522. That’s what I heard. It’s a story of people who applied to a very impacted major but some got in as undeclared or sometimes different majors (I know UCI offered business econ instead of Admin for one person)

What lee3522 said was correct. UCSD first accepts students into the school first, then the specific departments decide whether your scores are good enough to get into their major. You can still appeal, but you must have another reason for doing so.
