Rejected but trying to make the best

So I have been rejected from all the schools I applied due to probably the worst year of my life but that aside I am trying to formulate a plan of action so I dont get left by the wayside.

The problem is I am completely lost. Here's what I have come up with:

Go to Eastern Michigan University, WCC, or University of Michigan Dearborn and transfer out after my first year, I have the work ethic to pull it off but I dont know if colleges allow that.

My issue is I really dont know where I want to transfer to. I really want to study buisness-internet marketing more of. I was thinking about the UofM but I heard about the issues of transferring into Ross.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation, any who has already been through something like this please share.

***Forgot to mention I am still in high school, finishing up my senior year.

Read the thread about Andi (?), who got rejected at every school he applied to sevral years ago and then took a gap year and came back and got accepted at the very schools who rejected him earlier. You will need to think about WHERE you would like to attend and then see if they take sophomore transfers before you plan to attend a school for only one year before transferring out. Are your parents supportive of a gap year? Are you willing to consider that? Why do you think you were rejected at every school you applied to? Understanding that may help you make plans for the future as far as which colleges you may attend.

This maybe off-topic but the successful business leaders often start out with technical degree first before getting into business management. Mullaly of Ford took over Ford in these lean times and it is best of big three to survive. Wagoner at GM, a non-engineer has been forced out.

Im not sure my parent would be too supportive of taking a gap year but Im willing to try anything. The only problem I see with taking a gap year after reading Andi’s story is that Ive realized over the past few months, I dont have a super strong talent that could translate the same way his piano skills did.

These are my talents/interests:
website scripting like html/css and design
(not to be cocky) I am ridiculously good with electronics and computers, fixing, upgrading anything. I can take apart a computer or anything blind folded
Im also good at problem solving. Like if you present and issue I can come up with a hundred solutions
Im good at finding answers, I dont know if that makes sense. It probably goes along with the computer/ internet thing.
Im also pretty good with debating and law. Ive won all the mock trials and a few debates Ive done in class but I ve never pursued those outside of the class room

With that kind of list does anyone see the possibility of the gap year or anything?
I know I am panicking but I think been able to have a good plan of action would set my mind at ease.

If you go to eastern or any other public school in MI (even community colleges), it’s actually pretty easy to transfer into Michigan (not sure about Ross though) with a good GPA, and there’s a good chance that all/most of your credits will transfer.

Thanks for the response I think I am going to go with Eastern for my first year and transfer into engineering at UofM which was what I applied for and got rejected this year. E

Good luck! There are many paths to success and you seem like someone with great skills who will get there!

Check out the thread for the schools that are still accepting applications.
