I am anticipating rejection letters from all the colleges I am applying to... what do I do? Do I repeat a year of high school, take a year off, or go to community college/state school then try again in two years? Or do I just accept my fate and carry on with life?

Need more info. Why would you repeat a year of HS if you graduated, is that even allowed, huh? It is not too late to apply to colleges, why wouldn’t you apply to one where you can get in, any reason? Yes, starting at CC will essentially wipe your slate clean in that your college record will be the main, and likely only thing used for transfer to a 4 year where you can get your diploma from. It is something some people have to do for personal or financial reasons and that is just one way to get where you are going.

Considering that it’s still November, you can still apply to a couple of colleges that will accept you. Why is that not an option? If all you’ve done is apply to colleges that will reject you, then either you’re an awful planner or you’re exaggerating. Neither of which should be acceptable to you. Speak with your guidance counselor on Monday.

EDIT: I take it back: you have a 3.95 GPA and are in an IB program. You’re over excited and wanting confirmation. Stop it. If this is anywhere real, then your GC will help you.

If there’s absolutely no hope for one to take you, check out community or state college. And for goodness’ sake work hard
