I didn't think this would be possible but apparently, I got rejected from all UC's. I applied to 8 out of 9 UC's and got rejected all of them. Actually UCSB, UCSD, UCI, and Cal are still pending but still its just hurt of being rejected especially when I work so hard for three years to bring my GPA up. Ugh!! Do anyone feel the same as me?

Congrats by everyone who is accepted to their respective college!

Hang in there man…I’m still pending at every school I want to attend, while others get accepted left and right. I also worked my ass for three years here at CCC, etc…can’t imagine another year like this. ;

hmmm looks like you made a huge mistake somewhere like your missing transferable units or something. Or unless your gpa is really low, like sub 2.8. But you still have yet to hear back so don’t give up hope.

Idk how it is in California, but in my state you have a better chance of getting in by going to community college first. That must suck and I’m sorry but jc is actually a really good option and less expensive. My aunt did jc, granted it was a while back but then transferred to Davis and was really happy with how everything turned out. Good luck with everything!

I already complete all my pre requiste and i got enough transfer unit. I’m in student government, board of memeber of couple clubs, part time job, cross country athlete for my ccc. However, my first 1.5 years screw it up with C’s and now i had to work my way up. I end up with a 2.9 GPA so I understand why I’m getting rejected.

bjt223 - Even though you still have a lot more schools to hear from…I feel the same way as you…i just got rejected by ucla, and Cal was the only other school I applied too…i feel an ulcer coming on and I just want the 29th to come already. good luck to you, hang in there, still have a week to find out!

If your goal is to attend a UC, and not to finish a degree at a UC in a specific major(that is impacted), you can always reapply the following year. Even if you don’t have any more classes to finish, taking more CC transferable classes might bring up your gpa. Yes, the UC’s will only give you credits for a certain amount of units, but you’d be applying to the schools with a higher gpa. Even if the gpa ends up being a 3.2 at best, there are some UCs which you can apply to whose majors aren’t competitive to enter.

sorry to hear that, but hang in there!
i won’t say ‘cheer up’ because i know how disappointing it can feel. last year, i got rejected from everywhere i applied too. even state universities. so i spent another year at community college really rethinking things like what i’m doing and what i want to do.
this year i got into everywhere i applied and received scholarships from almost all of them.

things can change and things may happen for the better, and i hope it does for you.
