Here’s the scenario :

You are absolutely inlove with Brown (first choice by far)…and you apply to all ivies and MIT etc etc… And every other uni except Brown accepts you.

What would you do?

Here’s the scenario :

You are absolutely inlove with Brown (first choice by far)…and you apply to all ivies and MIT etc etc… And every other uni except Brown accepts you.

What would you do?

Step 1: Figure out what you love so much about Brown.

Step 2: Figure out what other school you got into is closest to Brown on that dimension.

Step 3: Go there.

We can probably help you out with Step 2, if you need it.

Forget about the rejected school. Look at the accepted schools, and decide between them. Look at what you like at each school. Theoretically, you shouldn’t have applied to any schools you didn’t like. So that should mean that you are left with lots of incredible schools that you would enjoy going to. It’s not worth it to try and mold a school to your expectations. Seriously look through your accepted schools and just find which one would make you happy.

At least thats what I would do. (And what I’ve done. I haven’t thought at all about Swarthmore since I was rejected. Instead I’ve been focusing on my accepted schools: Brown, Williams, Wesleyan…)
