I know someone who was recently rejected by CalTech and MIT. Waiting to hear from Stanford. SAT 2280, 8th in his class of 800, well rounded, 5s on all his AP tests, 31 on ACT, 780 on Physics SAT, 760 on Math SAT. Any chance that Stanford will accept him?

Stanford emphasizes ECs a lot. This “someone” needs to have something that makes him/her stand out from the crowd of 4.0’s and 2300+ valedictorians. If he has strong ECs/leadership, then maybe.

Chance my thread please.
