Rejected Class of 2021

Hello fellow 2021ers! I’m not sure if there is a thread like this yet, but I just wanted to make a general thread where we can embrace the rejections together :P.

Rejected:
UCLA
UCSD
Georgia Tech
BU
UW

Ayyy I can definitely relate to that, I bet my list would double if not triple by the beginning of of next month though.

Rejected:
MIT
Notre Dame
UChicago (Waitlist, but their waitlist has like a 3% accept rate)

@Cookiegod you’re a god! Uchicago waitlist is still pretty freakin awesome

And I feel you so much - can’t wait for next week and April Fool’s Day …

What major did you apply as for the majority of your schools?

WL (really just rejected gently) from Northwestern. They took 9 off of their waitlist of 2000 last year so, RIP me

Rejected from:
Hopkins
Pomona
UChicago (Waitlist) but they’ve waitlisted so many people, it’s just a soft rejection.

So far
Rejected from Swarthmore
Waitlisted at Mount Holyoke & F&M :-S

So far
Rejected from Swarthmore
Waitlisted at Mount Holyoke & F&M :-S

Rejected from MIT, Cal Poly, and JHU :((
Waitlisted at UC Davis

@beepybeetle @societal_hazard @collegeready21 @jellybeanj
I believe in you guys!!! :x

Rejected to Boston University
Rejected to College of the Holy Cross

Rejected from Wellesley!

@greenteen17 Lol same! I was refreshing my email every minute :-S

@WiseSeaweed lol I had a really long school day and came home at six. It’s all good, though! I think the environment may be too competitive for me anyway.

Can I do wait listed? It’s basically a postponed rejection -
Wait listed:
Notre Dame (don’t care)
UVA (ripped my freaking heart out)

4 in one day: Wellesley, Williams, Davidson, UVA. My BF who attends one of these and was sitting beside me as I got rejection after rejection. I shall live! Also rejected from University of Florida, Swarthmore, and Colby. Expected all of these except for UF, Colby and Davidson. In, so far, at Boston College (with 4 years housing – reserved for top 15% of applicants; go figure), New College of Florida, Rollins College (with large scholarship), Fordham, and a few other state schools.

@WiseSeaweed I applied to business, I’m rethinking about the whole thing though because I kinda realized recently that I don’t need a business degree to start my own business, engineering makes more sense. What major did you go for?

@Cookiegod I applied for aerospace engineering for most and physics for a couple others. Yea starting a business would be really cool! I kind of want to minor in it or just take a few business classes

rejected from Barnard!

Rejected from MIT, Whitman college and waitlisted in St Olaf (its waitlist acceptance rate has changed wildly so no idea)

@greenteen17 Lmao same  really not looking forward to next week
@Mrduque hope you get off the waitlist!!
