rejected ed...does this even happen to anyone?

HC was my top choice. Since I was rejected ED, do you think I would have a chance as a 2nd year transfer if I do really well freshman year? Advice Please!

Sorry to hear that. just curious, did you submit SAT’s?

no big deal… i just think my class rank and rigor of classes may not have been high enough because i didn’t take a lot of ap classes. my interview may not have went as well as it could have, either. I did submit my sats, I had a 2110…what do you think is the average for holy cross? i couldn’t find it anywhere.

If anything I would think your SATs are above the averages but as you probably know HC does not weight the SAT very heavily. I think if you do well elsewhere you should have a great chance at transferring. They would be impressed at your tenacity and love for the college. They love applicants who really love HC.

I applied to Holy Cross early decision. I received a letter at the end of January letting me know that my application will be reconsidered with the rest of the pool (not ED) this Spring. I was told that HC was ‘postponing’ their decision. Anyone in the same boat? Now or in the past? Since my application is now one of over 7000…I guess my chances of being accepted are quite small.

I wouldn’t necessarily throw in the towel just yet. I believe that the bar for entrance during early decision is a bit stiffer than during general admissions.

^^Correct. It is only easier to get in ED if you are a “hooked” applicant (i.e. recruited athlete) or have extremely high stats.

i always thought getting accepted ed was easier because you appear more interested. so if i got rejected do you think they actually didn’t HATE me?
