I was rejected ED from ultra-selective AEM in CALS, but I was wondering if i could apply again RD to economics in CAS. Is that possible?

Nope, sorry. :(

I feel your pain homeboy...I don't think thats allowed though :(

What were ur stats ((just wonderin!!))

im reapplying to CAS because i probably had a better shot there than the hotel school, considering that WORK EXPERIENCE is worht more than my SATs and GPA.. if they find out that im reapplying, the worst thing to do is... reject me.. again.. i got nothing to lose.

Wait, what do you mean reapplying?? Did you apply to the hotel school THIS YR? Cus the rule @ Cornell is that u can apply to only one college per year...which also blows b/c I kinda wanna apply to human ec now...:(

i was thinkin of applyin to AEM.............. ahh. scared now.
scottyrabbit -- what were your statz?

did anyone else on CC get into AEM? or apply?

haha i think chipwich means that he/she is applying to a different school regardless of the rules. good point though.. you dont got anything to lose.. that sucks that you cant reapply because each school has its own critera.

3.3 UW GPA in a tough public school that sometimes uses 7-point scale
1420 SAT I (780 M, 640 V)
SAT IIs (720 Math IC, 660 Physics, 630 Writing) :(
First-generation college student
Very Low-income family
Main EC is very committed job as waiter (guess I should have applied to hotel school :(
For you guys applying to AEM, do NOT write your essay on globalization

that's tough scotty, i know someone who got in hotel with a 3.0 hs gpa, but i think he transferred in. it's so much easier to transfer inside. might have had a better chance had you applied to a different college as hotel is one of the most competitive school at cornell.

oops, you didnt apply to hotel...hm...idunno then.

if you are applying as a first generation college student, your chances of being accepted are more likely??

why did u stress the NOT globaization topic for the essay? did something bad happen with ur essay..?

What's the most competitive school at Cornell? I thought engineering was one of the hardest to get into?

i think engineering is the hardest to get into. they have the highest caliber applicants and acceptees, although the acceptance rate may seem high that is only because only the best apply b/c it is such a great engineering program

haha i think chipwich means that he/she is applying to a different school regardless of the rules. good point though.. you dont got anything to lose..

hmm ... I'm not a big fan of trying to get away with breaking the rules ... and I do think you could lose something. If Cornell is really your first choice school I can think of a couple other ways to get there ... 1) try to transfer after spending a year at another school ... 2) take a year off and apply to be a freshman next year. I would think both these options will be gone if you get caught reapplying this year (and I can't imagine it wouldn't get caught ... computers and all)
