Rejected for Incomplete App

I just received a rejection from U of Illinois because my app was "incomplete". I was never informed before that my app was incomplete. It's pretty annoying that I paid them $60 and they didn't even let me know that I hadn't submitted all of the required items.

My guidance counselor must have forgotten to send my stuff. I'll accept some of the blame for that; I should have reminded her.

This is really annoying. U of I is near the top of my list. They said that all of the spots in the School of Engineering are filled, so I suppose there won't be any chance for reconsideration. I did however send them an email just in case.

This is dumb.

Thats weird. I know for my University of Michigan App they had a place online where you could check your application (whether all items were turned in etc.). All my stuff was in on time and I got accepted.

I am surprised they didn’t inform you of a problem before rejecting you. Well what other colleges are you considering. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise.
