And the weirdest thing is i thought my interview went really well. this happen to any1 else?

that sucks dude

...did you find out? By snail mail, email, a posting?

snail mail
today, mar 27

maybe they thought you were unlikely to attend their school.. considering the fact that you got likely letter from Dartmouth and UCs and everything...
they don't really wanna waste their scholarships to ppl who might not go there you know...

juss my 2 cents.;)

Oh well...my interview for CNTV was actually fairly tough. I've never had to work so hard to think on my toes in my life (which, I guess, is a sign of a good interview). I still got the Director's scholarship, $4000 a year, though. So it's not a whole loss. But now I can seriously consider all my college choices knowing that they'll all cost around the same.

Happyggal ~ Did you get a confirmation of your scholarship yet?

yeah same here, director's scholarship: 4k. lol i dono if hard interview = good interview, good luck tho

reasonabledad-well, i interviewed for trustee.. but i ended up with dean's. i guess i should be happy since at least i got SOMETHING. but now I'm definitely going to consider about other options that I have(or am going to have,,,and Wellesley is definitely one of them) and maybe some ivys if i get in. Just hoping for the best here;)

Interviewed for Pres, got Pres here

Interviewed presidential. Got presidential.

Same. 10 chars.

interviewed presidential, got presidential. (i was hoping for a bump up)

Ckpcw, Colegebound36, and Funnyman, what are your stats?

SAT: 2290: V770 M760 W760
SATII: MathIIC 800; Physics 800
GPA: 4.2ish (15-25ish class rank out of 400some)
5's on both AP Calcs and Both AP Physics (Mech & E&M)
Taken some college math courses - Multivariable Calc (done) and Differential Eqn's (in progress)

I'm going for Engineering, so I think what really got me in was that I build projects on my own (Jacob's ladders, Tesla coils, EM Gauss Cannons, that sort of thing) - I had a good time talking with the professor on the interview panel about some of the experiments and such that I've done (I brought pics :) ) Also, I thought my essays were really top-notch (humorous, interesting, etc)
..so I guess it isnt all numbers..

Interviewed presidential. Got presidential.

I wouldn't blame USC too much for the scholarship rejections. I volunteer in Admissions, and looking over your guys' stats in the office, I would have an extremely difficult time choosing who would not receive scholarships. Unfortunately, someone has to lose out.

Be proud of yourselves for getting accepted to USC and being nominated for a scholarship. I was top of my class with very similar grades and extracurriculars, but I never got nominated. Despite your rejection, I am quite sure USC will give you some sort of scholarship.

"Interviewed presidential. Got presidential." - ME TOO!! :) I probably won't go to USC though...

how were your decisions sent, priority mail?

Regular Mail
