So am planning on taking the MATH 1 subject test this DEC, however most schools require math 2. I have a poor memory of precalculus, which I did last year(taking a gap year). I know Penn recommends MATH2 but am not confident I’ll pass. Should I work and revise MATH 2 or perfect MATH 1.
CS MAJOR btw
Take Math 2, I’ve also heard that the curve is more generous on Math 2
Work at Math 2. Strong math students don’t take Math 1. That is why a 800 is easier to come by in Math 1. The pool is different. An 800 in Math 1 won’t do a thing for you if you plan a STEM major at a school like Penn.
Personally, I took Math 1 and got a 730. I took Math 2 and then I got an 800. The curve is more generous and for some reason, I find Math 2 easier especially if you have finished through pre-calc.
