<p>Applied to CCNY MHC but got rejected with a 87 avg and 1350 critical and math score. Could this be a mistake by the college? What should I do?</p>
<p>Average accepted is 1140 and 88 average.</p>
<p>Have your high school guidance counselor give them a ring on Monday, and ask. If they have tightened down on the GPA, you probably won’t be the only student from your HS who is affected.</p>
<p>Yeah but the rigor and course load of my classes is pretty high as well. Even if my GPA is lower than what they want my SAT is nearly 250 points higher than the average. It has to be a mistake because I got admitted into a few colleges much more presigous with scholarships. </p>

<p>You said you applied to Macaulay Honors at City College. that’s competitive! average Macaulay accepted at city is not 1140 and 88 average(that’s general admissions). Definitely much higher.</p>

<p>For anyone who is curious, the average SAT score for Macaulay is 1410 (out of 1600)</p>
