I am an asian male/40k/first generation from Oregon, and I didn’t receive an essence of Emory email. Does this mean I am likely rejected? Also, are people still receive the Essence of Emory emails today? Or was it only for yesterday?
Sorry I am feeling pretty anxious after receiving a rejection from BU.
I’ve been wondering the same thing, and I’m an African-American female/55k/first generation from Florida.
Hi, can people who received an Essence of Emory post their stats? I just saw from someone that only high stat URMs are sent an email, and I would like to see if this is true. So if you received an email, can you post your stats (W/UW GPA, SAT/ACT, EC, essay and recommendation rank)? It would be really helpful!
Well, my friend who is a white female also got invited to essence of emory. Is being female an URM now?
@night3423 is she first generation?

Lol, I’m an Emory student and you guys shouldn’t worry most people don’t get early acceptance letter (including myself). Just wait for them to release all the RD’s, everything will be just fine.
Hey I was so worried about the same thing. Black female, first generation from FL here! I called the admissions office and the rep I spoke to said that the people selected for essence of Emory are chosen randomly from the people who qualify. So you can still get in without the invite - there’s just not enough space for all URM and first gen to go!
@laurpow omg thank you so much for telling me this!!!:DDDDD
No problem I was so scared myself! Good luck on decision day
