Rejected from getting a HPME (Northwestern) application

Has anyone else been rejected from even getting an HPME application? If you wouldn't mind, it would be helpful for me (in trying to figure out why I was denied an application) if you listed your stats (GPA, SAT scores, AP classes taken) and whether you got an application or not.

I had:

3.86 GPA (unweighted)

2340 SAT I
800 SAT II math
770 SAT II chem

2 English APs
2 math APs
1 bio AP
1 chem AP
1 physics honors

versus... my friend:

3.95 GPA (unweighted)

2140 SAT I
790 SAT II math
750 SAT II chem

1 English AP
2 math APs
1 bio AP
1 chem AP
1 physics honors

I don't mean to be obsessive, but that's super intense if that 0.09 difference in our GPAs meant that I wouldn't even receive an application! Especially since I have higher SAT scores. I totally understand that it's already a very selective program, but I was just a little disappointed... Is GPA weighted that much??

Who knows... But, move on. There are other schools you can apply to, aren't there?

Post your question on HPME thread under "Multiple Degree Programs". http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/forumdisplay.php?f=476
It's hard to believe they didn't even give you an application. I read that the HPME class has shrunk by half so admission is extremely competitive.
