I really wanted to go to LSA and then transfer to Ross, but that won't be happening. The problem was my GPA (3.3 UW). I took too many AP classes not knowing that I would get a B+ in all of them. Should I go to community college, breeze through it, get a 3.7+, transfer to LSA after a year of community college, then transfer to Ross? Is it possible?

Don’t lose hope. I got waitlisted, but it’s really little chance. I am considering to transfer after going to MSU. I knew many people who successfully transfer from either people I knew or the posts I ssw. Don’t lose hope. And good luck to all of us!

My son transferred after one year at GVSU (after one semester of grades he was accepted for spring). I think he was close out of High School and has a 3.8+ at GVSU. My daughter just got waitlisted but she might just opt for her second choice.

I don’t know the Ross chances. Years ago many Ross BBA’s were transfer students (when Ross was a 2 year BBA program). Not sure about now. I know They are talking about being able to get a business minor while in LS&A.

Transferring into Ross from outside of Mich is very, very difficult. The competition is stiff and most spots are taken up from UMich students. Transferring into Michigan LSA is far more doable.

You could also apply to Ross as a sophomore at Michigan. That would require a 5th year at UM. Not the most common method… but it is an option.

I believe the Ross minor is starting this coming year (I could be wrong), so it would be available to you by the time you were at UM.
