My SAT score was 1950 out of 2400, and I just got my rejection letter from NYU CAS yesterday. I'm completely devastated right now. :'( I'm thinking of transferring from Baruch next year but I think it's going to be harder to transfer in than it is to apply as a high school senior applicant.

I understand that I should just accept this and move on, but NYU is like my ultimate dream college. Being a NYer myself, I absolutely love the atmosphere and the vibe of NYU. I'm currently enrolled in two extracurricular programs at NYU. :(((((( Sorry if I sound like an ignorant teenager but I just don't know what to do now. :'((

I’m sorry. I can sort of relate to how you feel. I applied to NYU back in October as an ED1 applicant. However, my parents didn’t want me to do ED because they wanted me to keep my options open. So I became an RD applicant. Almost 6 monts later, I was put on the waiting list. Now, I have to wait until July the latest to hear back from NYU. I’m not angry about it, but I have to wait literally almost 2/3 of a year from NYU, and it can be frustrating.

Anyway, there are plenty of other colleges in Manhattan that has the same atmosphere. If you want the Village, there’s the New School. Don’t worry, you’ll love whatever college you will go to. It Amy not seem like it now after being rejected from your dream school, but I’m sure there’s a college for you.
