Rejected from summer programs. What's plan B?

I just got in to opera tampa’s generation x program also! I’m super excited, but my parents are split on whether I should go or not. We’ll see… I’m just happy for these successes.

Congrats Im Thinking! It’s wonderful to have options. Keep us posted as to which one you choose!

I’m late joining in on this, but I highly recommend applying to Interlochen for next summer. Even with the rules, it’s worth it.
You sound intelligent and I hope your parents will understand and support you if you go forward ambitiously with Voice. For one thing, travel is customary with that and places like Interlochen are an investment - one usually has a great return on it.
btw does Rice still have that 8 or 9 day summer vocal camp (for high school students considering applying to SOMs or conservatories in Voice?) If so, that would be a program to consider. It starts quite early in the summer. I mention it because it wasn’t too timeconsuming and in a nice place.
Rice’s Shepherd School of Music is quite a place to visit…

Hey Im Thinking, I have a friend who is going to Walnut Hill for voice. (My D went there in her sophomore year and loved it.) If you want me to put the two of you together ahead of time so you can chat, just PM me.
