I logged in at midnight and this is what my status said:
"We have received many, many applications from students who want to make UC Riverside their campus of choice! Our admission counselors are working as quickly as possible (and drinking a lot of coffee to stay awake and work on your application) to review and assess your application and want you to know that your admission decision will be posted as soon as possible."
Am I basically rejected?

I don’t see the word “rejected” anywhere within their post! You are worrying for no firm reason. They are trying to communicate that everyone needs to be patient. My suggestion would be to take a deep breath, clear it out, and move on with your day thinking positive thoughts.

umm, are we reading the same thing?

I have read that a hundred times, and pretty sure underneath that it said to check your “My Alerts” and your “My Announcements” for admission information. If you don’t have anything in those boxes that specifically say you are rejected then you shouldn’t freak out so much.

Aren’t decisions not out until March anyways? (assuming you are applying out of HS)

^^ the first batch of acceptances started Feb. 1

I just got my rejection notice online today and it didn’t say anything like that. I did have the same message as you before I received my rejection however, I believe that is what all applicants received before getting their official admission notice.

I got the first message too around january - basically i think its application status change from complete to in review. because soon after i got my acceptance, so dont worry!
