What a hard couple of days.
After riding the wave of acceptances from UCM, UCR, UCSC, and UCD, I guess I got a little cocky while loading up my admission decision pages and got hit hard from my rejectinos at UCSD and UCSB.
I'm just praying for UCI now, because I highly doubt my UCLA and UCB chances..
Anyone in the same boat as me?

My friend’s son got rejected at UCSC, UCSB, UCSD and is hanging his hopes on UCI. I feel so sorry for him. At least you’ve got some acceptances. He’s off to CSUCI if UCI turns him down–he was actually sort of planning that anyway, but he didn’t think he’d HAVE to…

I got into UCI, UCD, and UCSB, but rejected from UCSD. I don’t have much hopes for UCLA and Cal, but if I get in, I’ll be more than happy. :)

About the same here.
Rejected: UCSD, UCSB
Accepted: UCD, UCSC, UCR, Cal Poly SLO, Cal Poly Pomona
Waiting on UCLA and UCI. I doubt ill get into UCLA so I’m really anxious about UCI. UCI is acutally my #1 choice and was my #1 from the beginning. I really liked the school when I went to visit earlier in the year. Good luck to all you guys waiting.

i’m pretty much in the same boat
but so far
accepted: UCD, UCSC
rejected: UCSB, UCSD
hopefully UCI!! not counting on cal..
i’m wondering if I still have a shot at UCLA because
i applied for their art major…
and I’m still waiting for my privates.
this waiting game is depressing. :/

i got rejected from both ucsd and ucsb and sb i thought was my safety school hoping to hear from ucd and uci. A lot of people got their rejection letters from ucd over the weekend my friend got hers over email.

My friend who worked her butt off to get an AA degree while graduating high school didn’t get accepted. Don’t feel so bad.

kathy, you know you can check online. They’re out.

yup, got rejected from UCSB and UCSD. this week has already been a bit of suckfest…i guess i kinda saw it coming for SD because i only did one SAT II that UCs would accept…but i dunno…i thought SB would not be so hard on me. i’m just sooooo scared though about USC now…

tihung: you still have a chance at ucla but seeing how acceptance rate is 4-6% and probably less this year, chances overall probably aren’t that great even if you did have good stats (maybe not…just a guess)…so i guess it really just relies on whether ucla likes your work or not…

You still got into Davis, so don’t beat yourself too bad.

I got rejected from Los Angeles, San Diego, Davis, but got into Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, and Riverside.

My friend got rejected from Davis and Santa Barbara but got into San Diego. Weird…

@sjum

UCLA’s acceptance rate is actually about 20%. I actually don’t think a single college has a 4-6% acceptance rate.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-santa-barbara/468098-backdoor-way-get-into-ucsb.html

If I could, I would give you my acceptance slot. Since Im going to UCSD which was definitley my first choice ever since I found out it was the best UC for the sciences. I really hate to hear ppl getting rejected!

my friend got rejected from UCD but accepted in UCSB and UCSD. weird.

where are you going to go then, AYEITSJ?

has there been anyone who got rejected from ucsb and ucsd but got into Cal? lol

all i know is im screwed with the UCs I only got accepted to riverside and merced (rejected from sb, sd, la..ugh)

did you get into other ones? where do you think youll go?

JP_Omnipotence: school of art is only 4-6% i think for each department (art, design, architecture) it is very selective.

ha if only it also had 20% acceptance rate…

bananaslug, I am probably going to go to UCD, unless I get into UCI or hopefully (lots of hope) USC, NYU, or UCB.

wait you got into davis but didnt get into sb?
how did that happen?
well at least you have really good options :)
