My nephew just got a rejection letter from his first choice, ED school. He and my sister were quite upset (it is pretty much a sure thing that he will get in- not one of the highly selective schools).

Upon re-reading the letter, they realized it was a rejection for an employment position in the ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT!!! (he never applied for anything like that, of course)

They think this school might need a little help......

My sister called the school (TCNJ) and they apologized. Somehow they got his resume separated from his application and thought it was someone applying for the job. The letter was signed by the Dean of Admissions!

Hahaha. I guess your sister should be MORE worried if they actually hired him to work in admissions. That would question my confidence in the admissions department if they WERE willing to hire someone halfway through their senior year in high school!!!

I think it would be hilarious if when you went to check your admission status online and you got rejected that would play! (…unless it was me of coure )

It just makes you wonder how they will actually go about making admissions decisions. I can see at least a dozen freshman applicants being rejected because admissions thinks they were applying to grad school.
