I know people probably aren't going to post whether they've been rejected from a school, but did anyone hear from anyone at your school or some place else that was rejected? Have they even started mailing rejections yet? or just acceptances?

Just curious, I still have not received my application decision. About five students have from my school. There is still quite a bit from my school waiting to hear.

I also tried that site for admitted students as well and I was unable to log in.... is this a bad sign? Or do you think maybe they haven't gotten to me yet or something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance :)

As of monday i'm in per the website. I still haven't gotten the letter but my stats arent that great.

3.05 gpa
1240 SAT
1 AP
alot of extracurriculars
volunteer service
job
Skywarn
In-State

Though im not sure if its parallel or regular, but on the application i did not ask to be accepted into the parallel program. I guess i'll wait and see. It also would depend on your major. I applied for Environmental Science and i dont think very many people take that at UD.

Same here- everyone from my school has heard except me. And all the people I know have gotten in as well. :(

My stats:
OOS
GPA- 3.3 UW 3.4 W
SAT- 1200 (1860)
ACT- 28
APs- 5
Good ECs, including colorguard/marching band, drum corps, 75 + hours of community service, honorable mention in local poetry contest.
Applied as an English major.

I'm also hoping something comes for me this week... it's so weird when everyone knows except you.

My son received a letter on Monday 3/19 indicating that he was waitlisted. They asked he return a form indicating if he was interested and also have his mid-term grades sent.

The college will consider as soon as possible after 5/1. They indicated that in the past two years they had about 1200+ waitlisters and about 10% were extended acceptances

I heard Delaware sends out the acceptance letters in three waves. The first wave was sent out and I got IN! Now, two more waves, so don't worry. When did you apply?

Linkin-- do you happen to know when these "waves" are supposed to come out? I have some colleges that want a response on their admission offer by April 1st which isn't too far from now, I hope UDel will let me know before then becuase it's my first choice :(

What were your stats if you don't mind sharing?

I applied pretty early... before the deadline for 'priority scholarship consideration', which I think was sometime in December. U Del was one of the first apps I sent out.

Well.. at least there are two more waves. Not to be negitive, but how are they sending out the rejections?

From the office of admission:
They are done with acceptances and are in the process of sending out all notices. They should be all sent by this week, and should arrive at the latest by next.

Backtothestars-- I dont think they do anything based on when you applied, i think they're pretty fair and they're one of the very few schools that look at the application in its entirety...

My stats weren't all that great but good enough for UDel I guess. My SAT scores, were 1810 in one sitting and 1860 in the other but if you take the highest from each section they were, 1930. My GPA is aorund a 3.4 and I have ordinary ECs, great recs and essay.

And I don't know when the other waves are coming. That was just something I heard so don't quote me on it. And UDel is my top choice too, I just need the financial aid info.

Here's how it will work. I was waitlisted last year and ended up going. If you didn't hear an acceptance now, you didn't get in. The best way to know before knowing through the mail is trying to login to the accepted student system.

I'm not sure if I was very high up on the waitlist or what but last year I got an e-mail on May 2nd saying I was accepted off the waitlist. They were going to send me an admissions package in the next few days. But I don't know what they're doing this year.

Don't lose hope yet--I received my acceptance today. The wait was horrible-everyone in my school had been notified already so I thought I had definitely been rejected. Anyway, good luck to everyone who's still waiting.

Sure thing:
-3.8; 1710/2400 (crappy, i know)
-went on an interview but I don't know how much that actually helps
volunteer work; ap classes; good recs; captain of tennis & track
*Right now I am a Bio major but we'll see what happens haha
OH and 8734039: don't worry..I definitely didn't think I was going to get in with my stats, you'll be fine :)
