Rejected....should i transfer?

so sad...i was rejected just now :(

my question is, i know that there is another thread here from capn asking about transfers, but since i don't have legacy at usc, can i still transfer schools after a semester/reapply?

and lastly, do i need to retake the sats or anything in order to transfer?

The SATs question was answered in the other thread. You can still try and transfer after a semester, but again, as was said in the other thread, if you will have completed less than 30 units before the end of the first year, your HS stats will be weighed into their decision. If you will have more than 30 units (which your probably wont) then your HS stats wont be weighed as heavily.

^^sorry, but what are 30 units? is it like hours of credit or something?

boss529- colleges give credits/units for completing courses. For example, most course at USC give 4 units per class. You can also get units for AP tests passed. Every college gives different credit for AP’s- here is USC’s AP credit policy-

So- after you have accumulated 30 units which is ABOUT one year of college for an average load, admissions will focus primarily on your college level work and not your high school work.

I was a transfer student to USC many years ago to Marshall and I’m VERY happy I did it.

i have a question i was just rejected and i was wondering if everyone gets the whole thing about meeting with a person to talk about a plan of transfer

^^ditto that.
