Rejected. So how generous is USC to transfers?

recently rejected by USC (saw it coming) and now thinking about transferring to USC. I have legacy status, so the rejection letter came with a paragraph stating how I get to meet someone on the admission staff to help with the transfer. Questions: is it possible to transfer after a semester of college? Will I need to apply all over again?

Yes, you’ll have to reapply.

If you can get 30 or more units of college work done, your HS record won’t be heavily considered. If you have less than 30, your HS work will play a factor in your admission.

Can you just update it?
What if you got rejected and you get a higher SAT grade will it help?

I suggest you contact the admission staff on your letter to try to arrange for transfer if that is what you want to do. I think USC will look at your grades fall semester (and if you take anything this summer). Maybe a higher SAT grade will help with the transfer process-ask the admissions staff person at your meeting. It is a good question. But, you still need top grades to transfer.

yeah i got rejected too.
im not a legacy but i got that on my letter too.
so i am giogn to go meet for a transfer thing. hope fully it will help

^^i didn’t get anything in my rejection letter stating that…but can i still meet with someone anyway?

Sorry to hear Nicole B. , but I glad to hear you are pursuing information on a transfer.

Oh so everyone doesnt get that in there rejection letter?

I can give you the site your supposed to go that it said in the letter if you want it but you dont schedule till early may

Do they take into account what school you’re transferring from? Also, what are the odds of getting in? I got into pretty good schools but the school that I’m pretty sure I’m going to is not known for it’s academics (tier 3, state school) but is excellent in a certain field and is really cheap.
