@raseekrocks:: One of the MIT guy is my good friend. He studied in CCRC and got 89% in SLC and around 83% in +2. Any ways, it does not matter how much he got. He is simply outstanding!

bibesh,vadraketa n 12hulk345…
Count me in guys;
11 REJECTIONS so far,2 WAITLISTS.
5 more to come(Obvious rejections;colleges like Amherst,Dartmouth n Princeton)
Sud hab applied 2 Trinity or some other lac in ED and NOT HARVARD.
Sud hab taken advantage of EDII.
Wrong decisions hab left me wid so much of regrets.
Hanging on to Trinity n Lafayette,my last hope…

^Trinity is almost gone this season for Nepali students… 5 acceptances already…
The RD pool is astonishingly competitive…
Best of luck…

well, i cn match his SLC, but i’m a little low on +2…79.6…

wht were his SAT (reasoning and subject tests) anyways?? do u knw??

@raseekrocks…figures aren’t enuf 2 get into MIT.I,too,applied this year wid SAT 2130 ,92% in SLC n all As in A-Levels,National level ECs,n awesome recommendations plus a research paper.
It’s YOU that matters.
Perhaps,the guy (or girl) was a perfect fit for MIT and me n U are not.
We just know ourselves the best n nt MIT.So,Adm officers look if MIT ud b a place we sud be at n they r really good at finding the right match.
So,now,DON’T COMPARE…
Expect 2 get ur perfect match.

@raseekrocks

you can always have aspirations, but never take it for granted that you can get into MIT on account of few credentials that have come to be in common with the guy accepted to MIT

There is every possibility that you can be accepted mate…Don’t lose your hope…One thing I have learned in this application process is that it is not always about stats…

I am sorry @batuli but don’t be rude to others mate…By the way you are talking like you are the admission officer of MIT…Are you?

Please go through what you have said once again.

The only difference is that you learnt the thing and I told him what you had learnt.Fair, is not it?

May be I was talking like an MIT counselor for his good.

Stop acting rude to others.There is a way of telling things…Everyone is frustrated at the moment…Its not good to turn an optimistic person to a pessimist one…If you don’t think he has got any chance, then its better not to reply.

What is the good that you are doing to him? If he gets rejected, let him hear that from the message of MIT Admissions office…He has got one in a two chance of being admitted…Yeah.WE are competitors…but we are walking towards a same ambition and we should not downcast the chances of others…

I am as frustrated by College Application as all the people in CC. I know this is the hard time, dude, but this does not mean we forget the reality. Yes , there is a way of telling things, and that is how I tell things.

Just Chill.
@raseekrocks Best of luck bro. I was not pessimistic with your aspirations though.

I don’t think so…Best of luck for your upcoming decisions. Its better if we support each other…What decisions are yet to come for you?

What do you not think so?

I have decisions from Berea, Jacobs and Hobart and William Smith Colleges left.

This frustration is making things worse…

Chill out and have a sound sleep guys. it’s already 12:30 :D

Yep…This frustration is killing me…Its time to go to bed…
