<p>The title says it all. Some one I know had this happen to him! Makes no sense (?) I know SD uses the stupid point system and LA doesn't so maybe that was how he got in(I'm guessing)</p>

<p>Wow! In all honesty I am shocked. His grades were on par and SAT's were in the mid 1800's (I don't think he ever broke 1900). I had a friend with higher SAT's and GPA but was rejected. </p>

<p>Goes to show how awful and unpredictable admissions are...They say they only admit the most qualified people--that's apparently not always the case. </p>

<p>Congrats to him ! He didn't even think he would get in...</p>

<p>Same thing happened to me. I just got into UCLA!!!! </p>

<p>Screw UCSD, I hated that place anyway. I thought I might go to community college if my only other choice was SD, but luckily that's not the case.</p>

<p>Admissions are sooo weird. I got into SD and USC, but not LA, while a couple of my friends got into LA but not SD or SC.</p>

<p>I can beat that: my cousin was rejected from Davis and accepted to UCLA!</p>

my friend last year got rejected from CAL POLY, UCSB, AND UCD,
BUT SOMEHOW GOT INTO UCLA!!</p>
