yea. But i really dont want to go to maryland…too mayn pple i know go there…

Im from Ohio and got a letter… Emory has always been my first choice but since everyone who applies to vandy applies to emory I dont think I have a chance

accepted: state saftey (full ride), carnegie mellon u, michigan (out of state, too expensive)
rejected: cornell ED, rice, notre dame, northwestern, chicago, uva, duke
waitlist: washu (like everyone else)

i’m just an average white boy from kansas, any hope at all for emory?

Rejected: Duke, John Hopkins
Waitlisted: Claremont Mckenna
Accepted: UOP, UCLA, Cal Berekely, UCR, UCI, USC, UCSD, George Washington University

You have an good chance at Emory.

^^^ Good Job getting into Berkely, badass school…I hope so too, so many kids with my scores though…its good they don’t look at class rank(for me)…

emory and vandy r similar in terms of accepting students, emory is a tad bit more selective in terms of percentages and other facts they look at

ughhh

accepted: hopkins, ucla, usc, brandeis, nyu, gw, umd, bu, american
waitlisted: wustl, uva
rejected: georgetown, berkeley, amherst

at this point, i really dont know whats going to happen

accepted: umd, michigan, mcgill, nyu, georigia tech, wash u, rpi
WL: none
rejected: rice, northwestern, mit,

^^ dude y are u complaing, u got into hopkins, nyu, and ucla…wow this is for people who haven’t gotten into any top 20 schooll…loser…

^^ dude y are u complaing, u got into hopkins, nyu, and ucla…wow this is for people who haven’t gotten into any top 25 schooll…PRICK?..

^ Well, I got accepted to WUSTL, UVA, UChicago, Northwestern, and Vanderbilt, but I would have killed to go to JHU (where I was waitlisted). I know it seems a bit insensitive in the context of this thread, but quite a few of us have dream schools, not dream ranges ;)

Why do these Emory discussions always turn into immature verbal exchanges?

Wow flavia making fun of us because we have dream ranges and not a dream school, wow so many doushebags…talk about flaunting their acceptances…shiiittt…

Calm down. For me, the disappointment of not getting into JHU outweighed any happiness I felt upon getting into the others. You know why? JHU was the only private school my father was willing to pay for me to attend. So I won’t actually be going to UChicago or UVA or Northwestern or Vanderbilt.

Lucky me!

Wow. I like how the guy asked if he had a chance at Emory, and random people started bragging their acceptances. Typical CC.

@ OP: You have chances for sure, but predicting is foolish. All I can recommend is wait I see, and yes, it sounds corny :P

About a day left. It seems like Emory starts posting the decisions at midnight. So lets hope it’s tomorrow night!!!

Decisions will be posted after 5PM (eastern)

Flavia021: Stop whining, You should be thankful for any assistance your family gives you towards going to college.

Yeah, I’m basically in the same situation as you although I got into Oxford of Emory already… decisions come out tomorrow (Monday Mar. 30) So just hang in there
I’ll think of you when I read my letter high fives

Btw, not to be a downer or anything but almost EVERYONE from my high school who didn’t not get ACCEPTED into Wash U got waitlisted (even people who weren’t up to par which is quite depressing)

^lol, I took myself of FA, because I didn’t know they were need-aware, hopefully that helps, if not, here i come state school…
