Hey guys so I got rejected to UC Irvine, UCSD, UCLA, and UCSD.

Amazing ec's and essays.
I was pretty over confident when applying to schools and thought that I would atleast get into one of them but I didn't. Because of this thinking I didn't really make a plan b so what do you guys think I should do? Should I try appealing or should I just go to cc?

@ladoo786, same here, but i do have ucr which i still don’t wan to go as of now. I want to appeal but what do i say?

To be honest, the chance of the appeal working is very slim. The waitlist people get priority first so you better hope that a lot of people won’t be accepting Irvines admission. I also thought I had a good chance of getting into a UC of my choice but I didn’t so now I’ll be attending a CC. What I’m going to do is get a TAG with San Diego or Irvine. Haven’t decided which one yet but after two years I’ll be guaranteed a spot with the major of my choice.

you should appeal if you have any new information, other than that you can go to cc and save some money or maybe do a gap year? I’ve heard some people stay at CC for like 4 years because they’re overcrowded but maybe not where you are. I don’t hear much people taking gap year so idk anything in that situation.

Did you only apply to these three schools and no backups? If not, I guess CCC is your only option. You should appeal to UCI though…if you think you have a good enough reason. Last year UCI underadmitted, so they took everyone off the waitlist (all or nothing policy) and it seemed like they also admitted most everyone who appealed and had a good reason. That might happen this year if you’re lucky. SD and LA probably won’t because both have waitlists and those students get priority.
