I got rejected to Irvine :(
But I plan on appealing.

Who else is planning on appealing?
What do you think our chances will be?

Who else is planning on appealing?

i’m appealing…chances are never able to predict. HOPE WE GET OUR DECISIONS CHANGED!!!

I may consider. Still waiting on ucr.

I’m worried my appeal won’t be interesting enough and stand out Dx

But never hurts to try. :3

if you don’t do it you have absolutely no chance…if you do it theres a chance even if it’s very minimal.

@wonderboy and @elouia what are you guys planning on writing? Like why your grades weren’t superb? I hope we do get in!!! A lot of people who appealed last year got in!

something like that

Not really sure. My grades in my opinion are great , had straight A’s last semester.

My gpa is 3.7ish.
But my SAT score was low , 1420 and mainly because of math. I also never took AP courses because my school never really mentioned the benefits unless you were in avid

I have vertigo so that prevented me from sports and jobs up until recently …

I really don’t know what to write about yet. Dx I mentioned In my application I wanted to help others and make a difference , and how I prevented a few suicides and helped with depression.

I guess I just need to go into more detail about me, obstacles , and who I am today and why I deserve to go to uci? I recently won a scholarship with my grades and essay which was similar to what I’m thinking … May work. :3

Sorry!!! Long reply Dx

Good luck to you guys! Makes me feel better to know quite a few appeals were accepted :3

What do you guys t

i got straight B’s in my junior year because my father passed away just didn’t have time to dedicate fully on my academics that year but i recovered senior year with straight A’s first semester. 7 APs up to now still fighting and keeping my hopes my up

Oops. Sorry for that. iPod glitched and I can’t edit from iPod.

I was going to say , what do you guys think is best to we’re about when appealing , in general ?

I just remembered a good one for me, maybe. I took my SAT before I really got far in algebra 2 , which I’m taking currently.

I studied hard and struggled with math in geo previous years which is why I was behind in math. I can go into detail about how I took two math classes at once and overcame obstacles which ended up in me getting a low SAT :0…

But then it also sounds like an excuse … Gah Dx

I would try working on a better excuse if I were you guys. Admissions will probably figure that info should have been included in your original app. Good luck though, it’s worth a shot.

i don’t know if mine will be good enough just with that

I’m sorry to hear that wonder. A similar thing happened to me freshman year.

I think you’ll have no problem getting in with that appeal :3

Are there any waves of acceptances left? My app is still in review…

i hate that i got rejected this late with only 2 weeks to get my appeal packet together

My app is also in review…wish they would sent out all rejects at once!

Rejected…just checked…so sad…

anyone know if supporting docs are required??
