Rejected with a 3.5+

I'm a bit worried about 2010 transferring, so if you got rejected with a 3.5+ post here. This applies to all UCs except for UCLA impacted majors and anything at Berkeley.

GPA:

School: (all of them that have released decisions so far, plus non-impacted majors at UCLA when those come out)

TAG/TAP:

ECs:

Why you think they rejected you:

Omg. I thought you really were rejected. ]: No, don’t be so nervous! Imagine us…LOL. We just gotta be patient…especially for UCLA/Cal. ;__; Hahaha. Best of luck next year! [:

Several UCSC applicants were rejected on this board with outstanding GPAs. As for me, no acceptances/rejections yet…

UC Santa Cruz? Seriously? 0_0

god. i the title freak me out.

plus, 3.5 is a fair enough GPA to get in UCSD or somewhere else. don worry

What do you think was behind the ucsc rejections?
Do you think they are trying to climb the rankings ladder?
I seem to recall most of those who were rejected were majoring in the physical sciences. I think ucsc has a very highly rated physics or astronomy program or something.

So no one was rejected with a 3.5+ yet? Or what?

Not yet… be Patience!! There will be… >< The UC won’t send out their rejection till the end unless you don’t meet their minumum requirement. However, I don’t think you shall be worry about that since you are not transferring.

Just wait until Cal/UCLA send out their decisions later on this month…x__x;;

UCSC rejected me. 3.7 gpa. all pre req done. igetece will be finished after this semster. and 65 units after this semester. i doubt my personal statement was terrible for them to reject me. i am kind of puzzled.

Wth that doesn’t sound right.

^probably because they didnt want to waste an admit space for someone who wouldn’t attend.

you probably are in at ucsb , ucd , ucsd, uci (if you applied) …ucb and ucla are tossups depending on the major and other factors.

baller90210, that isn’t right! Are you applying UCSC’s impacted major? If not, I strongly encourage you to appeal… at least call them and ask why! But, make sure your disagreement stand.

wow 3.5+ being rejected. I’m freaking scared. I’m in that level for transferring next year.

So for non-impacted UCLA majors, who got rejected with a 3.5 or more?

Not a UC, but a very worth State, SDSU declined me and I have a 3.88 GPA Honors, IGETC finished. But hey I got in to even better schools so its their loss.

wow 3.88 and rejected from sdsu?

ok now I am not understanding anything. How can you get rejected with a 3.88 GPA at SDSU? i dont understand. can someone please explain this to me. if you got rejected by this school imagine all of us waiting for ucla with lower GPA’S? ucla is like 3 times harder to get in than a state school. guys I think it’s time to start panicking and questioning ourselves. what is going on? maybe someone can spark a light in me and tell me what is going on with these admissions this year. I am very upset.

SDSU’s ultimate goal is to have a highest maltriculation rate as possible… accepting every applicant w/ a gpa > 3.0 isn’t going to help that considering we can get guaranteed admission to most of the UCs with that gpa.

Yeah… but heres the thing, I am in at UCSB, UCI, UCSD and CSULB (the hardest state school in cal) I’m a psych major and its extremely impacted at Long Beach. UCLA is a different kettle of fish to SDSU, so don’t sweat it. I’m not even the slightest bit worried, when I got declined I was like ? but hey I’m gonna be a Bruin next year and our rugby team is gonna kill them. They’ll wish they had me then, I was even talking to their coach about potentially going there and hes *ed I didn’t get in.
