REJected....

Yeah, both good points. Not to sound arrogant, but Im not worried about getting under 3.2 at UTSA, but you're right, transferring in otherwise will be really tough. Plus A&M has a weak journalism program, and their business school is not as good as UT's, and those are the 2 majors I'm interested in.

Vyse...you sound pretty smart and it looks like you dont want to settle for just any university....but if you really want to go to UT.... i really dont see the point in attending TAMU or TCU or w/e other college you have been accepted into.... i understand that they are not as good as lets say UTSA....but going to UTSA means you are 100% at UT the next year....if you go to the others, you will probably still get a high gpa because your pretty smart but nothing is a sure thing when it comes to UT

idk...i guess its difficult to say because i am not in your position....but does it really matter how good A&Ms business school is if you plan to transfer....freshman year you will probably take mostly basic courses anyways

Yeah, I'm warming up to the idea of spending a year at UTSA. The statistics about internal transfers between majors is good to hear, and it sounds like I'll be able to end up where I want when by 3rd semester. just need to make a couple final visits and talk to some people and make sure its worth the trouble.

Vyse, I got CAP'ed as well and am not accepting the offer. Personally, I don't think a UT degree is worth going through a year at UTSA, but everybody has their own prefrences and opinions. It depends what you want - if you want to stay in Texas, I'd choose between UT and Texas A&M. Another view is that you would only be spending a year at UTSA, and San Antonio is a great city to be in.

It was a tough decision for me to make, but I have decided to attend NYU. Whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck and am sure you will be successful wherever you attend college.

hey FBI, if i had applied to a school like NYU and was able to afford the BMW-like tuition they charge you a year..i wouldnt consider UTSA either.
