Rejected

Hey Guys! I wanted to know if in the deferral letter it says you have been deferred. I think I was rejected but not sure… Can someone post the deferral letter?

I got deferred and it said “we have decided to defer your application into our Regular Decision applicant pool”

I can’t figure out how to post a picture, but yes it said that I was deferred. What did yours say to make you think that you were rejected?

So that means I got rejected… I am an international student. I have amazing Ec’s, don’t see how I could have been rejected and not deferred. Do you think emailing them would change anything?

Mine says we are unable to offer you admission

@SpursBoy I’m international too. I got deferred. What’s your stats?

23 ACT :stuck_out_tongue:
Amazing EC’s
Good essay
Varsity 2 sports

what are yours? Did you send your ACT scores in or not?

A 23 is far to low for NU, I’m afraid.

I am an international student too… Have very very good EC’s, great recommendations

Unfortunately there are so many kids with great essays and ECs and 32+ scores. I think the 23 is the reason, it just didn’t meat whatever “minimum” they have in their mind.

@Fiona1997 what was your ACT?

I didn’t take ACT.

@Fiona1997 SAT? Or did you just no submit anything?

Well yeah I took the SAT. And if I didn’t submit anything I would be rejected too lol…

@Fiona1997 what was your number?

What difference? Your 23 made you a completely non-viable applicant. Look at C9.

Their 25th percentile ACT was a 31. You’re 8 points away. Only 1.32% of students at NU had a composite equal to yours. You don’t seem to understand how competitive NU really is.

Hopefully you’re applying to more realistic schools for regular decision. Please google the “common data sets” of your other target schools – or you’ll have no one to blame but yourself.

@SpursBoy do you mean phone number? I don’t understand…

@Fiona1997 OP wants to know your SAT scores. Not sure what he will derive from that into that isn’t in the PDF I linked him to.
