Congratulations!

My son's ALO called this weekend. (My son is the one in the first post on the "rejected" thread.) I guess you could say it was a consolation phone call. He was very nice and said that with my son's stats, it was pretty likely that he'd still get in. He told our son that since his rejection letter said something about him being a "qualified candidate" (I think that's what it was) then it was more likely that he'd get in than someone whose letter didn't say that. Does anyone know anything about that?

Also, it was encouraging to hear the ALO say that his athletics, extra-curriculars, etc. looked good. When our son did his interview of course, he didn't really know how the ALO was viewing his application.

Also, the ALO said he'd like to come to our son's graduation and present him with his ROTC scholarship, so that was nice.
