Rejected?

^did you apply to the UCs? because it doesnt.

The applications to UCs do not get turned in to all of them…only the ones you select. However, the UC e-mail after you submit states that “other UCs might look at your app, and give you an admission offer” but that isn’t the same thing. I would be happy if i did send to all the UCs (would save me sooooo much on the application fee)

wow you guys. it was obvious that i meant it’s sent to all the UCs you apply to. obviously it’s not going to send to every single one if you didn’t select it/pay for it. and spelling, sorry… i jsut misread your comment. i thought you meant f the essays you wrote for UCLA appealed more than the ones u wrote for irvine. lol i read it again.

Apparently it wasn’t obvious, if no one was able to understand what you meant. But good thing you clarified it.

Yeah, I don’t think they reject overqualified students neither. They probably calculate and estimate the yield rate.

has anyone been rejected yet? no one from my school has gotten a rejection letter yet o__o unless they start coming out now in march or something nervous
and if there are people who got rejected… what does it say D:
SLO’s rejection notification was kind of ugly: “You have not been selected for admission.” And that’s it.
Something like that ):

it doesn’t seem like there have been a lot of rejection letters sent out, and those who got them are probably being really discrete about it. haha.

I’ve heard 3 ppl get rejected :(. I HOPE if theres waves still, tomorrow is the next wave >:O, so nerve-wrecking waiting.

Couple of things, 1)UC’s do not reject “over qualified” students. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard. If you get rejected from one UC it could be that the major you had selected is competitive and they don’t have room. 2)if you get rejected from one uc, you can get accepted into others. Best of luck to you all! You should be hearing soon about getting in!

aww do you happen to know what the rejection letter said?

@sunnybanana: yeah SLO’s rejection was really blunt lol but i actually like that. I remember last year, my friend sent me what a college wrote to her and it was full of praise, optimism, and compliments. Then at the end it was like “… but we can’t offer you a spot. We offer our sincere apologies and wish you luck in the future.”

She probably had the most epic “-_-” face.

@anybody: the longer I haven’t heard of anyone getting rejected; the smaller I feel like my chance gets at getting accepted to UCI. I’m so scared :((
