<p>Wow, some of you have REALLY high SAT’s. I guess it came down to GPA more so than test scores. My GPA was a bit above avg, but SAT’s were below avg when I applied. I guess I’m fortunate that I made it in. UC’s focus more on GPA, since its a 4 year commitment whereas the SAT is just a 4 hr test you take. Keep in mind that some kids have ELC that come from low income school, so the UC may give them acceptance over someone with relatively higher test scores/GPA, but may not be of ELC status. </p>
<p>Lastly, the budget cuts are main factor to this. I guess when I applied I lucked out and didnt’ have to deal with it, I guess, I too, was lucky to have gotten in!</p>
