Chikara, it is because unlike what most people think, UCSB better academically and more selective then Irvine or Davis. Its not easy to get into.

“UCSB [is] better academically and more selective then Irvine or Davis”

Really, based on what?

Thats right ucsb is one of the harder ucs to ge into I know a lot of ppl who go into irvine and not sb

That’s fine. There’s a lot of people that got into UCSB, but not UCD. Based on your reasoning, I suppose I should declare Davis “better academically and more selective” then Santa Barbara.

The point is, many people who get into Santa Barbara, don’t get into UCI/UCD. Many people who get into UCI, don’t get into UCSB/UCD. As far as I am aware, the difference academically is marginal between these three schools.

So again, how is “UCSB better academically and more selective then Irvine or Davis.”

what a bitter person, chikara

Wow, I didn’t mean to start thus whole discussion on which UC is more selective lol But based on last year’s acceptance rates, Santa Barbara admitted 49% while Davis and Irvine had 46% and 42%. Maybe Santa Barbara suddenly became more selective this year? Who knows…
