rejecting colleges

I was in a very bad mood after being rejected from upenn and harvard. So, i decided to make other colleges feel like I did.

i'm writing letters of rejection to the school's i'm turning down, with phrases including "I found that your resources are inadequate for the desires and opportunities that I wish to have during study" etc. emory vanderbilt and washington are def. getting 1 and either duke or carolina based on my final choice ha ha ha.

i just want 2 see if they'll say anything back to me.

That sounds....mature.

do you really think they're going to care when they already have hundreds of other applicants to worry about?

You're not ready for higher education with that attitude, illimin4tus

They will reply you nothing.

Don't hate on the colleges that accepted you!! That's just stupid.

Colleges do the best they can in their decisions. By and large, I think colleges make the right decisions. They should be congratulated (whether you are accepted or denied) for an extremely difficult job well done.

i hope you are kidding because it's not like they purposely aimed to rip your heart out, you on the other hand are being malicious.

That makes sense... angry at the school that didnt accept you so you'll take it out on the ones that did? sweet...

I would love it if word got around and your other acceptances were rescinded.

wow . . . you all need a dosage of reality. the world isnt some grand beneficiary place where those who use sarcasm are "malicious"

and zuma . . . if you honestly believe that you need a reality check as well. i have seen MANY unqualified people getting into Ivy leagues. there are hundreds of threads on it, even here.

I thought sarcasm was supposed to be funny. Either way, it's hard for me to judge if all I see is words on a screen.

Very immature. Seriously, they wont care. They'll just toss your letter into a pile of others just like it. And then they'll throw them out.

Easy, Illumin4tus. Relax and enjoy your acceptances. The schools admitted whom they wanted, as is their right.

Why do that to schools you wanted to apply to and got accepted into?! I'd understand if you wrote to the schools that rejected you. That would be more fitting.

I still don't think it is a good idea, however.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha .... ^^^ dumbest thread ever

UPenn and Harvard: sorry illumin4tus, we are not able to offer you a place in our class.
illumin4tus: aww man, shucks
..............................................
XYZ University: illumin4tus, please join us in the most rewarding part of our job -- informing you that you will be part of the dynamic class of 2010 at XYZ!
illumin4tus: yeah? well **** off!

^^lol...nice one blah...but seriously...i dont understand why you would want to **** off these colleges who actually want you...i mean...there are better ways to let off steam..

illumin4tus, maybe I am malicious like you, but I understood the sarcasm and laughed out loud when reading your first post, before reading the humor-less people who posted after you. I know you weren't serious. Guess we have the same sense of humor.

ha ha ha i'm glad that some1 here actually shares a malicious sense of humor w/ me. the seriousness of every1 else here just made me crack up even more. in case u haven't figured it out yet, let me put it plainly: THIS THREAD IS A JOKE. AS IN NOT SERIOUS. AS IN NO NEED TO GET YOUR . . . TWISTED i'm not even saying it lol. although its sad only 1 person found it funny lol . . . what is the college going world coming to?

actually blah's post was pretty funny too
