I'm writing a rough draft of an appeal letter now.

I would greatly appreciate if any of you guys could take some time to review it and add any suggestions and/or comments.

I'm thinking about adding the following in an overnight express mail package:

One page letter explaining why I am appealing.

Resume

or just send the aforementioned items via email.

I have email correspondence with the transfer admissions dean and I have also met with him to discuss the transfer admissions process. Would it be better to email him directly or to send a general letter package addressed to the adcom at the undergrad office?

Nope, nothing. Apparently, the man who I spoke with on the phone was incorrect in saying that the packets would be mailed this week. I looked on-line and it says that they will be mailed December 5th for transfers; November 28th was for ED. Ehhh.

So, the wait continues, apparently.

Good luck with the rest of your colleges :)

If you are at UPenn, why do you want to transfer to UVa. I looked through your old posts and didnt see a reason. I would look over your appeal letter but I am not sure how much help I would be.

My current semester grades are 4.0. - this brings my gpa at the time of application of 3.66 to 3.8. I discussed my upward grade trend and that, although my high school grades were poor, I graduated from high school nearly a decade ago and have since changed my academic drive and outlook.

In addition, i discussed how important the financial aspects of attending an instate universty was to me.
