ijflexi,

read my earlier post in this same thread. You'll find everything you need to know - the contents of my letter were somewhat private - thus, i do not feel comfortable posting it on a board.

Can you post the letter sent to you saying your appeal succeeded?

Its too personal. GABE!!!

He doesn't want the letter from jaek99 to UVa, he wants to see the letter that UVa sent back.

Congrats, I didn't even know one could appeal in this case. I visited my friends in October over a weekend and I loved it. I would have still considered it but I decided I need a big city... the parties were crazy though. gl

He was accepted to the College of General Studies at Penn, which is the school for non-traditional undergraduate students, and they accept on a rolling basis.

The College of Arts & Sciences, Engineering, Nursing, and Wharton only accept for the fall. So both of you (whoever it was...) are correct.

Each university has their own policy; Rice, for instance, does not accept appeals. Harvard, I think, only does appeals in the event of filing/clerical errors on their part, or if they did not review a part of your application that was decisive in your decision.

no appeals-not democratic

I tried to find out if U Penn's College of General Studies has an appeal process, and I could not find out. I don't have long distance access so I can't call. Does anyone know if they do have an appeal system? Thanks!
