Would you rather be rejected through a letter, or rejected by an email/website.

A letter for sure. An email isn't dramatic enough.

i'd rather let it be an email.....

The online will come sooner, but does anyone think they could hold off and wait for the mail to see there decision?

by e-mail.....less scary

Rejection by internet because it's faster. End the pain plase.

emails seem less final

It will suck to receive the letter in the mail after seeing the rejection online.

lol!@#$%^&*()_+

I second vicissitudes.

If I'm going to be rejected anyway, it's worse to wait in anticipation even a day or two longer than needed.

email of course. but they dont send rejections by email, do they?

email. no one has to watch you open it.

either way, blindfold yourself before you read,..

definitely online.

it's less dramatic - there isn't really a "suspenseful opening of envelope" moment if you don't want one, plus I can just get offline, whereas the envelope is ever-present in my home...

:)

Regular Mail

online - the letter seemed like it woulda hurt if i was expecting anything... anything at all

also you can automatically tell if the letter is an acceptance or rejection based on the length and width of the envelope. However, online you have no clue.

email.

then when u get the letter u can throw it away.

or read it again.

e-mail..

then I'll know which letter to burn :D

Here is how to find out if the email is an acceptance or a rejection!

See the size of the email....and see if it has any attachments...
An acceptance letter is usually sent out in PDF formats (with the adcom signing it, in the college's official letterpad).....plus if you asked for financial aid and stuff...u get that included as well........

A rejection email will be very small [abt 10Kbs]..and will have no attachments,.....the message will be in plain text!!

So u c...the email decision is somewhat similar to the regular mail......the large email is an acceptance....the small one is a rejection!
