this guy i know got rejected by UCR. what the hell. he had like 1800 and sat subject scores of 600. kids with 1500s get in there....

UCR rejection is a reality, it's weird to see it because you don't expect it.

IDK what they do for their admission

My gf got in about a month after me. She has a below 1600 sat score and a 19 ACT score, no great EC's, and she's gotten like 4 c's.

I got 5 C's and got in.
And they've been sending me emails to appyl to their Honors program

to the original poster:
probably cuz they knew he wouldn't attend

It depends on your friend's GPA as well and what courses had he taken or currently taking.

Yes. I know a person with 2200 SAT, 800 SAT II Math 2C, 780 Physics with AP Physics C, Calculus BC, Econ, Govt, APUSH...rejected.

X_X

very possible my friend got rejected...
i thought it might happen cuz she didnt do anything junior year and still not doing anything in senior year. shame because she "was" pretty smart

well for hunterbender- they prob did that cause they know that person wont go to UCR with those stats, i guess

@ Hunterbender; I think UCR realizes that they are only back up for that person. Rather than giving admission to a person that has potential to go to like UCLA or something, they probably want to leave room for someone that may want to go. lolll. Unless, they had a terrible essay or something…

My friends friend got rejected.

Your friend is rejected because he doesn’t meet UC eligibility. Regardless how high your friend’s SAT and GPA is, if he doesn’t meet it, he doesn’t get admitted.
