Rejection decision notification accelerated by travel planning?

As I posted in the 2027 thread, son was rejected from RH. He got the notification quite early - around March 3rd, two weeks earlier than the March 15 “official” date. Maybe his application did not pass some initial cut and he was notified early, but I thought most decisions would be announced on March 15. What I find interesting is that the notification came in just a day or two after I corresponded with the admissions/visit office to let them know I was organizing a trip to visit during spring break and asking for changing the date of the visit. Anyone else thinks that they notified us earlier than most decisions as a courtesy so that we wouldn’t make any travel plans that would have to be cancelled much later?

If so, that was nice of them.

My nephew was rejected a couple of weeks ago, no visit planned.
