Rejection from 20+ Schools

I have never mentioned anything about high schoolers.
I have misused one word- amalgate- in order to trick MIThopeful16 into believing that he indeed knew the words.
MIThopeful16 is indeed an arrant fool.

I am greatly fatigued by answering posts.
Excuse me, while I take a nap.

Alas, quit accusing Jozhekryx of being anything other than a British master of English–which happens to be rather appropriate, as British people do come from England.

He has inquired about only one thing, and the least one could do is answer that question before critiquing his magnificent prowess in linguistic coherence.

Here is my answer: The aforementioned title is not a reliable random discrete variable.
College admissions–at least in the United States–have a strange “human-variable” which must be accounted for.

One thing is for certain. Your chances of acceptance have increased due to the number of applications you have submitted–and, simultaneously, your chances of rejection have also increased. It is important to note–and this applies to all college bound students–that quality is of far greater concern than quantity in terms of college applications. I am assuming, Jozhekryx, that despite slaving over many applications, your care in completing each has/will not faltered, and in each you maintain an exceptional use of English. I assure you, more than one of those colleges which you have listed will accept you, if not beg you to come to their college.

Good luck, and best wishes in your endeavors.

This thread has to be the funniest and stupidest thing I’ve ever seen on CC, on par with the “clam fart” thread.

This guy is a god tier ■■■■■. Two thumbs up to you, Jozhekryx, I couldn’t have done it better myself.

You believed you have tricked me. Simply I forgot how the word was spelled.

^I think he did too…

Call me an arrant fool, when you yourself complain of attacks. I assure you, you do not want to go that route with me.

I was looking for a deep response.
I thank the previous posters for their generous contribution of knowledge.

I’m lovin every minute of this. But forreal, you might get an 800 on your verbal SATs or whatever their called, but youll never get anywhere in the real world. Think colloquial, drop the arrogance and youll be alright kid.

Coming back to the original topic, Jozhekryx: Have you gotten any additional rejections, acceptances, wist lists? Good luck. Reading this blog is better than reading Harry Potter…

Again with your spelling argument. Wow, I got the first name wrong. MIThopefull misspelled a word. Yet you still seem to capitalize on the most stupid errors you can find. Your arguments against others are not deep whatsoever, so do not say that ours are not too.

Why don’t you give a deep, thoughtful, and true answer on why you type/speak the way you do, instead of responding to people’s spelling errors. I don’t think you can do that. All you can literally do is answer with the most simplistic meaning, but add BS throughout all of it.

By the way, you have called highschoolers many things throughout this thread; why don’t you look back and see how stupid you are.

Hahahaha “arrant.” I’m betting the ■■■■■ just finished up Hamlet in English.

Guys, take a moment to imagine that this person is a genuine person who just happens to speak verbosely like this. This person is a human being with emotion, and your ruthless attacks are not humorous, but rather cyber bullying. Obviously this person is a little quirky, but that doesn’t mean the OP is deserving of your rude, judgemental remarks. It is so disheartening to see such critical remarks for a person who most likely doesn’t deserve it at all.

College essays and writing on the internet are two inherently different things.

I have indeed finished Hamlet. However, I have frequently used Word Smart II by Adam Robinson. I have learned the particular word from Mr. Robinson.

You are an arrant fool indeed.
Please read the aforementioned posts to back up your argument.
So far, you have been using ad hominem attacks. Do you not see the blatant hypocrisy in your posts?

Arrogance?
How do you ‘define’ arrogance?
How does using courteous language ultimately result in ‘arrogance’?
If everyone here understands all the aforementioned words, how is my writing verbose and arrogant?

I have received two rejections. That is all.

Honestly, I am gobsmacked and I do not know what to say.
How does using correct language signify and elicit such a captious response?

Have I verbally attacked anyone?
No.

I have merely pointed out my current state (crestfallen).
If crestfallen is a ‘filthy’ word, I will stop utilizing it.

Where did I say they weren’t? Its your style of writing I’m referring to.

What is so bad about my writing style?

How does using correct language signify and elicit such a captious response?
What is so bad about my writing style?

On the off-chance you are serious:
Highly educated people often consider it a sign of intellectual insecurity when one so actively strives to impress through word choices. And, when the words chosen interrupt the written flow, do not precisely convey the intended meaning and/or cloud the overall message, the reader questions the writer’s actual language skills.
So, if you are, as Courtney pleas, perhaps just an ordinary guy honestly trying to communicate, please understand that the actual impression you make with this style is backfiring.

A thesaurus or word study book only suggest alternate word choices; they cannot suggest a precise replacement. It is up to the speaker or writer to dig deeper.

The above assumes you are serious. Personally, I believe that if you are sincere, you would reveal more of your details and engage less in this jousting.

To the OP:
IF you are writing like this, you are a loser. This personality of yours will be reflected in your essay, thus leading to your rejection. Top colleges do not want students like you. They want smart kids who also have personalities. Yours seems bland. No wonder you have two rejections. Good luck with life. Trust me, you’re gonna need it because what i have just said is not the last time you’ll be hearing it.

Indeed, we should treat him/her with common courtesy he/she deserves…

Your insight just made me laugh.
How will my writing on the internet reflect my state of mind in my essays?
So, your logical reasoning is, that if one uses apt diction, one becomes a sociopath without a personality?
Thank you for your insight.
I enjoyed your meaningless brouhaha.
