Today at my school was Senior Rejection Letter Burn Day (a school sponsored event!....actually run by the college office)...we had a big pizza party and we all burned our rejection letters one by one with a little statement for each one....Do any other schools do this? It was SO much fun!-

I tore up the rejection letters and ate the pieces :D

I am tearing up the waitlist letters and sending the pieces back to the colleges :D

j/k :p

that's a good idea CubsRule.. I'm gonna suggest that To our student gov..

That is a good idea. I think all schools should do something like this.

This probably wouldn't work at my school since only 1% of the class at most (though usually closer to .7%) applies to elite colleges, and only another 5%-7% go for 50-50 schools. Most stay in-state or go for the regional universities. So only a super small amount of the class would actually be burning letters.

Wow... If this was 2 years ago and I was still in ASB I'd bring that us as an idea for an event, it sounds like fun!

Yeah...I go to a relatively small school (~80 kids/class) and 100% of us apply to colleges...so most of us have some kind of rejection letter....The kids who dont have anything to burn tests, or anything they really want for that matter....

Burn Baby Burn!
